Online DSS \u2013 oDSS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Brand new with our MFD15 Gen2 is access to the device via WLAN. This means you no longer necessarily need a laptop\/PC for the settings on your display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here you can set up your display completely, log values \u200b\u200b(license required), upload your own start image and also update the display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supported values<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Many customers always ask: \u201cWhich values \u200b\u200bcan I query from my control unit?\u201d The answer: ” ALL<\/strong> “. Our MFD15 is compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ECU manufacturers themselves determine which values \u200b\u200bare sent via the CAN bus interface. Documentation is important here – perhaps even in the form of a DBC file that can be imported via our DSS<\/a> . You can also access our extensive list of already implemented control devices. These can be found in the  download area<\/a> . A total of up to 64 sensors can be queried if the manufacturer supports this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data that is available in broadcast as well as OBD2 queries via Can Bus (11bit\/29bit) are implemented. Special protocols such as UDS are also available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connection and expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each delivery includes:
\u2013 Plug B (6-fold)
\u2013 Plug C (12-fold)
\u2013 20cm pre-crimped connection cable for power supply, CAN bus, analog inputs, 5V and sensor ground
\u2013 Pins for crimping yourself
\u2013 two 1K resistors (for pull-up for NTC sensors)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any sensors can be connected via the six analog inputs – we support both linear 0-5V and NTC sensors.

The sensors we offer are usually stored in the TRI files and only need to be connected:
– CC22902 temperature sensor for liquids
– CC22901 pressure sensor M10x1 0-10 bar (145psi)
– CC22900 pressure sensor 0-5.5bar (80psi)
– generic type K converter 0 -1250\u00b0C<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CC22501 rotary knob (optional)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The rotary knob already known from the MFD15 Gen1 is now only optional.
It can be used if it is difficult to reach the front buttons of the display or if you prefer the operation.
The connection is plug and play directly to plug B on the back of the display. With its 50cm long cable, it can be accommodated flexibly in the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Online logging of the MFD15 Gen2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the “Online Logging” license, your display can log the data into the oDSS, where you can then download it as a file to your smartphone or PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All sensors are logged in the log (ATTENTION: with OBD and UDS only those currently displayed!)<\/strong> . Select the sensors you may want to graph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Integrated shift light + warnings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The internal LED at the top center of the display can be used as a shift light and\/or as a warning LED.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Up to 8 different colors and speed limits are assigned as a shift light, as well as a speed at which the shift light flashes strongly and quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can assign a min and max value for each sensor (in the oDSS via “Sensors”) and also activate the “LED” there. If the sensor is above the maximum value or below the minimum value, the LED flashes quickly in the color specified under “General Settings” => “LED warning”. The shift light is deactivated during the warning period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CAN switching and analog forwarding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The display can be expanded with a license for our ” Can Switching<\/strong> “. This contains, on the one hand, button states, which are forwarded via Can Bus (ON\/OFF) and, on the other hand, \u201c Analogue Forwarding<\/strong> \u201d, which the internal analog inputs send via Can Bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The display offers emulations for:
\u2013 CANchecked MCE18<\/a> and CFE18<\/a>
\u2013 Haltech IOA, IOB or IOA+B
\u2013 Ecumaster (Emu v3)
\u2013 LinkECU<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the oDSS you can now configure the Can Switch<\/strong> under \u201cGeneral Settings\u201d :

The functions are then assigned to these buttons in the control unit. e.g.:

Alternatively, set the \u201cEncoder button\u201d to \u201cCan Switch 1-6\u201d. Here you will see an overview of buttons 1-6 and their current status. By turning the rotary knob you reach the buttons and can change the button status by pressing the rotary knob. In the oDSS you customize the names of the buttons and so you know exactly which function is active\/inactive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c Analogue Forwarding<\/strong> \u201d forwards the sensors (up to 6) connected to the display to the control unit – these can be sensors, physical switches, position sensors or others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ethanol sensor directly on the MFD15 Gen2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the additional license for the ethanol sensor, you can connect a sensor directly to the display. You need a pullup resistor (10K) between 5V and signal.
Now you can view and log both the ethanol content and the fuel temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
