Why do you need an Audi 80 display? We love old-school vehicles like the Audi 80. Who doesn’t have their hearts beat faster when they see a 5-cylinder S2 or RS2? The vehicles are extremely popular. Not least because the engines have a lot of potential and the body is perfect as a basis for an engine conversion. Now we come into play.
 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with two customers (thanks to Ron and Robert for their patience) we set about implementing an Audi 80 display. Our  MFD28 – Multi Function Display<\/a>  fits perfectly into the location of the original board computer. So Stephan from the design department sat back down at his desk and conjured up a holder that bolts to the original mounting points – no cutting, no drilling. Of course, our shift light module (can be ordered as an option) with a specially designed housing also fits into the speedometer. The original outside temperature display is no longer required.

Since our display is operated via touch, we needed a solution for switching pages. The flexible inputs\/outputs made it possible to use one as an input and connect it to the original MFA lever of the Audi 80. We also use the RESET switch to dim the display and shift light for night operation.

– technical implementation –<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Due to the slim design of the MFD28 board, we are able to offer exactly such solutions. A specially manufactured adapter for the speedometer is used, which holds the display.
 
Nothing needs to be cut or drilled on the speedometer itself. This means that retrofitting is possible at any time without any problems.
 
A shift light has also found its place. It can be clearly seen in the video at the end of the article – the colors and speed thresholds can be individually changed.
